International Indian Rally 2012
We the Oldtimer Club Poland are cordially inviting all the Indian motorcycle owners to join the International Indian Rally 2012. This Rally will take place in Poland on July 27 – 29, 2012. We were chosen to organize this prestige rally by the general assembly of European Indian Clubs in 2008. It is a great distinction and honor for us. As the venue for this rally we chose a beautiful place located in Polish land of lakes - Mazury. The location is very convenient and easily accessible for bikers from different parts of Europe. Short distance from Gdansk Port allows for fast and easy trip to the place of our rally. Starting Thursday special attractions will be ready for you as well as many interesting places for sightseeing. We are expecting your numerous attendance and wish you unforgettable memories from Poland.

Oldtimer Club Poland
We are a group of friends bonded by the interest in old American motorcycles. Over ten years ago we decided to create a motorcycle club and together make our motorcycle plans come true. What is our interest beside owning a classic American bike? – We want to ride them. It seems obvious but these days it is not so sure – just look around. Our Club is the only organization in Poland associating Indian owners and now we have over 30 pcs. Every year a new piece shows up, bought and rebuilt by the next enthusiast affected by this incurable disease. We are a part of the worldwide Indian lovers movement and thanks to our historical distinctiveness we can add values not found in those older organizations in Europe and in the world.

Indians in Poland
First motorcycles showed up in Poland in 1918, right after regaining our independence. A small number of the bikes were privately owned, but most of them were used by Polish Army. They were bought from American, British and French demobile. These machines were well known for their reliability, and on Polish roads which were in poor condition, they did very well. The first Indian dealership was established in Warsaw in the mid-twenties. Earlier a similar business was set up in Gdansk but it was a German enterprise. Thanks to the toughness of the bikes made in Springfield they were also used in Polish sport. In the second half of 20’s an Indian rider, Mr. Witold Rychter was winning in many championships. He won the Racing Trophy of Poland in 1927. In the previous year he established Polish speed record riding a sports version of Indian. Because of the relatively high pricing comparing to the European machines, most of the Indian bikes were used by the police and army. After the II World War a lot of bikes (mainly 741B) have reached Poland from army demobile and later were being brought by the individual owners. Therefore, for many years the military model of Indian was the most popular in Poland. Last years we are noticing a growing interest in the Indian machines and Polish collectors are importing more and more of the rare models. The majority of Indian owners in Poland are the members of Oldtimer Club Poland, actively taking part in rallies, jamborees and exhibitions.
